St Joseph of Damascus Manuscript Conservation Center

The Patriarchal Monastery of Our Lady of Balamand sets apart a building, on the southwest side of the main church, for the “St Joseph of Damascus Manuscript Conservation Center”.

It restores and preserves the Balamand Patriarchal Monastery treasures of manuscripts, which the monks cared for them in scribing and decorating through the centuries. The center restores the valuable archives of Balamand, which includes correspondences and property records.
